You don't need an account to start listening. Get the app, and make a Mixtape when you're ready.

Before you start
- An iPhone with iOS 17.6 or later.*
- To listen, you don't need an account. Browse the feed, play the voice notes and hear a 30-second clip of every song.
- To make Mixtapes, make a free account. No subscription needed.
- Want full songs? Connect Apple Music, or start a free trial in the app. That's the only thing a subscription adds.
Make a Mixtape
Get the app and make a free account.
Download Mixtape from the App Store and sign in with Apple in one tap. No subscription needed.
Start a new Mixtape.
Tap + at the bottom of the feed.
Name it and add artwork.
Give it a title and a cover that looks like you.
Tell the story.
Record a voice intro. Why these songs? Who's it for? Where were you when you first heard them?
Add your songs.
Search for songs and add as many as you want.
Post it.
Your Mixtape goes to the feed, where people can listen, react and comment.
Hear full songs (optional).
Without a subscription, everyone hears a 30-second clip of every song, and the voice notes in full. Mixtape works with Apple Music: connect your subscription and every song plays in full, right in the app. No Apple Music yet? Start a free trial right from the app.
When you listen with Apple Music, every full song is a real stream, so the artist gets paid.
Share it anywhere
Instagram Stories
Share any Mixtape, yours or someone else's, straight to your Instagram Story with a custom design made from it.
Anywhere else
Share a link to your Mixtape in a text, a post or your bio.
For creators
Post a teaser to your Story, then send followers to Mixtape for the songs and the whole story.

Songs play right in the feed.
